Natural Remedies For Alzheimer's Disease
Alzheimer's disease (AD) affects millions of people worldwide. It is a kind of dementia that destroys the memory as well as mental abilities in a very slow way. It can be very heart breaking to many friends, families and relatives to see their loved ones forgetting who they really are and even forgetting themselves. The sad part about it is that every year there is an increasing amount of people who are suffering with Alzheimer's disease.
It is also a fact that people who are suffering with AD can live for a very long time with this condition. This situation can be very costly for loved ones raking up thousands of dollars per year. Although there is no known cure, natural remedies can be very beneficial and may even slow down the effect of Alzheimer's disease as well as help to prevent it. There also lifestyle changes that may even slow down the process as well.
Natural remedies such as herbs and supplements can aid in AD. Green tea
is one such herb and it is inexpensive and very healthy. One of the reasons that it is so good for Alzheimer sufferers is that it is a very excellent remedy for the memory.
Green tea contains antioxidant such as epigallocatechin-3-gallate (EGCG) which can help to maintain the brain and to help prevent beta-amyloid plaque from forming on the brain. Three to four cups per day is good enough.
The next big herb is one of my favourites, ginkgo biloba
. This medicinal herb can aid in poor blood circulation and will promote memory as well as fight against memory loss.
Other natural remedies comprise of eating healthy by consuming diets such as fruits, fish, vegetables because they can decrease the risk of Alzheimer's disease.
Finally, a bit of caution in regards to purchasing certain drugs which can affect the memory. It is of the belief that some drugs that are taken for allergies, asthma, high blood pressure, irregular heartbeat, Parkinson's disease, pain and ulcers can cause loss of memory. So watch out for these drugs.
