Olive Oil And God Cured My Eye Ailment

I love to listen to the stories of my elders. They have some interesting tales to tell, especially in regards to God and natural healing. I can sit for hours just listening to their experiences with mother nature, the Creator and the herbs that God has given to us for the healing of the nation.


Although my grandmother is gone, God bless her soul, there are still many of my elders who are willing to tell me all that medicinal herbs have done for them. There is never a time that I felt bored just listening to them and the various natural treatments that they used to bring about healing.

One of their favourite tales is the use of olive oil. They believe that olive oil can cure just about any sickness or ailment and that there are various ways of using it too.

They may be right because some of its health benefits reported are that olive oil aids digestion, helps to prevent strokes, helps to prevent heart attack, treat acne, reduce high cholesterol, prevents premature aging and aids in lowering high blood pressure. There are those who also believe that it is the best remedy for a good vision.

Olive oil is also very important in the healing ministries of the churches. It is always used alongside prayers for the sick. This was traditionally done in the Bible and it is still very effective today.

One such story is from one of my elderly friends. She testified that something was growing in one of her eyes. She had no idea what
it was, but it was white.

She eventually went to the doctor, only to be told that she would have to do surgery which amounted to thousands of dollars. Well, not having the first thousand dollars she settled with the knowledge that God can heal her with the help of olive oil.

She continued relating her story that she put a tip of the olive oil on a finger then she warmed it over a lit kerosine oil lamp. However, I think any lit fire would just be as good.

After that, she rubbed the warmed olive oil on the eye lid of the affected eye. This she did for more than one week while she kept on praying for complete healing.

Just to let you know that she did this at nights before retiring to bed. I think with the eyes close during the nights, the olive oil got to do its healing job.

As she spoke, tears kept falling from her eyes. I could feel her joy of knowing that she was not going blind and that her God and olive oil made her eye a whole lot better. Also, economically, she was saving thousands of dollars.

Eventually, the growth began to disappear until it was completely gone. When she revisited the doctor, he was surprised and wanted to find out what had happened.

Yes, this is a very happy woman who can boast and tell the world that "olive oil and God cured my eye ailment." I wonder, what can God and olive oil do for you?
