Some of its constituents are resins, essential oil, starch, saponins, alkaloids, and aglycone.

Health Benefits of Star Grass Herb

It is used to treat painful menstruation, constipation, diarrhoea as well as digestive conditions, gas, colic, and indigestion.

It is also used as a remedy for infertility, especially for those women who suffered from excessive menstruation as well as prolonged and light menstruation.

Persons used it to remedy vomiting, anaemia, stomach conditions, haemorrhoids and myalgia also called muscle pain.
